This is another commission I received over the holiday break for a Christmas gift. Going out to a friend for their partner Nolan who is named after (you guessed it) Nolan Ryan. When Erin asked if I could do a Nolan Ryan baseball card, I broke out my binder of cards and went through each Ryan I had. We decided upon this one from 1991 that I got from a cereal box. I think my favourite part is that it’s licensed by the MLBPA, but not the MLB, so no team logos appear on the card or jersey. Similar to Tecmo Bowl on the NES.
I drew this whole thing using my new tablet – still getting used to brushes, but it was a lot of fun!
