New poster series: Retro St. Catharines!
Poster #4 – Burgoyne Bridge
Though this incarnation of the Burgoyne Bridge is new to the city, it’s quickly become one of the most recognizable spots in St. Catharines. Bridging the downtown core to the neighbourhood of Western Hill, the bridge and its (purely cosmetic) arch are beautiful. It’s always a treat when I can take a walk downtown and check out Twelve Mile Creek from above. I also included a familiar sight on the bridge – one of our blue and green striped St. Catharines Transit buses. Must be going to the terminal downtown. Also, does anyone else remember the little jingle that used to play on the St. Catharines Transit website? 🎵 I’ve got a limo that’s 40 feet long 🎵
