G.D.T.
Very little is known about G.D.T. No business is registered under that name, and no address or phone number can be traced to the organization. In fact, no one even knows what G.D.T. stands for. However, the influence of G.D.T. can be felt throughout St. Catharines.
Every candidate for municipal, regional, provincial or federal politics in St. Catharines has received an equal donation from G.D.T. for each election dating back to the 1970s. Several parks, community centres, sports facilities and buildings at institutions of higher learning have been funded by the organization. seemingly, these donations have no strings attached – they arrive in cash, with a simple note from G.D.T. asking the recipient to make St. Catharines a better place.
Numerous attempts have been made to track down anyone involved in G.D.T., with no success so far. The organization appears to only exist in St. Catharines, and shows no signs of stopping their mysterious, faceless philanthropic work within the city.
