My Dad found a box of matchbooks he collected early in his career from all over Canada. I have inherited these matchbooks, and I kind of fell in love with some of their designs. So, I decided to do a set of illustrations of some of my favourites.
The first batch are going to be from Niagara, and most are from restaurants that no longer exist – like this one! I guess Billingsgate Fish Market is a chain, but this one at One St. Paul is long gone.
