The Red-Winged Blackbird! These are some of the most common birds in North America, and they’re always a delight to see. Glossy black with those distinctive red and yellow patches on their wings – just beautiful. I had one fly beside me for a while when I was on a bike ride not too long ago, and often see them perched on rushes along the canal. I just love ’em.
