The “official” reason a skeleton is being included is that one appears in House on Haunted Hill from 1959. Unofficially, it’s because of the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra – an incredible (and hilarious) send-up of B-movies from 2001. I could watch that skeleton climb down a mountain for hours.
