Every year I put together a set up silly valentines, and this year I decided to highlight some teams that have been lost to the sands of time. WHA and ABA teams that didn’t survive the mergers with the NHL and NBA, some teams from the CFL’s foray into the United States, some local single A baseball teams (and one less local team), and teams from not one but two failed football leagues. I didn’t include any AAF teams – that wound is still too fresh.
