One of 18 new illustrated album covers I put together for an art show at Mahtay Café. Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. One of Pink Floyd’s many iconic covers (courtesy of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis), and probably my favourite. Cover aside, this is an absolutely beautiful album. From the Syd Barrett tribute “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” (which bookends the album), to the title track, and one of my favourite lyrics of all time – “We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year.”
