WHAT. AN. ALBUM. I’d like to make a Take My Breath Away joke here, but I will refrain. It truly is a Sacrifice on my part. I’m a huge sucker for radio-based intersitials and idents on an album, and Dawn FM is lousy with ’em. Hell, the whole album is named after a fictional radio station – and Jim Carrey is the crooning voice of the DJ bookending the album. I can only assume that Rick Moranis’ Gerry Todd was unavailable. Can you imagine headlining the Super Bowl and then dropping an album this good in the span of less than a year? Unbelievable. Oh, and yes, the extendable antenna on the flag was 100% necessary.
